Pug Fashion

When the weather starts changing, it’s time for a wardrobe makeover.  I was watching Shark Tank and saw this new company called Kane & Couture.  Kane & Couture has stylish, yet affordable fashion for dogs.

After taking a look at their website, I decided Ophelia and Bella need some new clothes.

First maybe a new collar.  To the left is a blingish new, make the other pugs on the block jealous, type of piece.  For a second, I thought, “Oh no, this must be about $250,” but only $36.  Steal!

Bella’s new collar would look like a celebrity owns her. “Is that Taylor Swift’s min pin?”

By the way, that gold collar is $36 too.

Fall is usually all about fashion and new looks for the holidays like… Pugsgiving, Black Pug Friday and Merry Pug Christmas.

Pugs Feel Our Emotions

Ophelia is happy when I’m happy and sad when I’m sad.  She usually crawls on my lap and licks my face when I cry at Moulin Rouge while Bella gives me a hug.  We (Ophelia, Bella and I) all kind of get pretty emotional about that movie.

So, when Nat Geo posted a study from Japan about how dogs can feel our emotions, I felt like this is most definitely true.  The scientists conducting this study decided to monitor 25 dog’s yawning and see how they reacted when their owner’s yawn vs. a stranger’s yawn.

Hopefully, some pugs were used in this study because they have the best yawns due to their long tongues.

I wonder which scientist came up with this idea to study dog’s yawns.

Was the scientist one day starring at his dog when all of a sudden he yawned making his dog yawn in turn. Then the scientist was like, “you must love me because you yawned. I’m going to study that.”

Well, the study concluded that all the dogs seemed to yawn more when their owners were yawning.

Why is that?

Yawning signifies a feeling of stress, anxiety, boredom or fatigue.

So, when your dog yawns they are empathizing with you and that is why “dogs don’t yawn with strangers.”  FYI: Contagious yawning happens to us…now dogs…and lastly chimpanzees and baboons.

Pugs Eating Humans For Treats?

Dog treats shaped into little humans are being hand-made by a local Wichita store, The Dog Treatery.

The Dog Treatery makes biscuits, cookies, birthday cakes and bones for dogs with all-natural ingredients.

Their mission is to “Make Tails Wag“

I think my dogs just drooled over their Humans Taste Like Chicken Crackers.

This little guy was saying “No don’t eat me, nnnnoooooo…..” Reminded me of the movie Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

I found some pug cookie cutters. They are to cute!!!

I’m thinking about doing a bake sale to help raise money for the Wichita Pug Rescue, who are also helping out those 32 neglected pugs.
